Piece 2
Materials: I used my tablet and Procreate. I used different brushes to create variety in the painting.
Process
My process started with ideas and different compositions, after choosing I had to start blocking in color and shaping it to create depth. I have never drawn like this so it was a challenge, I tried a whole new style which was daunting but I think it turned out well for my first time. Also trying out a new palette with colors with it being more muted and cold, the person I referenced did it so well but I think I need more vibrancy and warmth in some places .
Ideas
For my Process pieces I focused on landscape mainly and little kids. As kids are not things I draw often and cannot draw them well so I did studies. This painting also made me want to get beter at my colors and landscaping of things. In my main piece the colors I used were much more muted and cold, so I played with more viberant warm colors later. This started at night when my ideas were forms, coming up with ideas and this one stuck, the idea was siblings in a park walking but the older sibling is scared of something bad happening to their younger sibling even if they are right there. Me as a sister to a younger one I get really worried of my sister and often have pretty bad thoughts this one focuses on kidnapping. Even with you right there some people are crazy and just take people. The animals in the forunt are supposed to help with this as its a predator on its pray like how kidnappers are predators.

Modern Artist : haragayowainja https://twitter.com/haragayowainja Master Artist: Paul Cézanne I mainly used my Modern artist for reference, I wanted to try and focus on shapes and simple colors. They way he shapes things so clearly with no lineart is pretty and the calming effect his work has. I referenced his work a lot and his colors trying to replicate it. I really enjoyed his worked but after doing it I think that its definatly a beautiful style but not somethign I would want to continue.
